Dear friends!
We call out for civil, youth and student organizations and their participants to support the inhabitants of the Human Rights House in Voronezh – Youth Human Rights Movement and Free Student Trade Union – who are facing threat of eviction by decision of the municipal authorities.
We had been campaigning to defend the Human Rights House for a few months when on the 13th of Aug it became clear that the authorities had not abandoned their plan to turn the HRH and all its organizations and initiatives out of the building they have occupied for decades.
Earlier the officials had promised to solve this problem but apparently they didn’t keep their promise. Now the human rights defenders and young civil activists have to give up their offices by the 20th of Aug and they will be basically left out on the streets.
